If you’re reading this, it means you’re trying to get into contact with me to get a refund for a product you purchased.
You bought something, didn’t like it or got too many charges or found out it’s a scam and now you want your subscription cancelled and your money back.
The thing is, you probably did a Google search and found this site within the results that came up. Right?
Unfortunately, you’re looking in the wrong place for your refund and I’ll tell you why below. So read on and I’ll try to explain how you should go about the process of trying to get your money back.
Whenever I find “make money” programs, I try my best to evaluate them and then relay my findings to people who might also be interested in the same program.
I do this in the form of reviews which might be negative or positive depending on how useful the program is.
A lot of the times the review is negative because the program is useless and won’t make you any money. I try to warn people but they would only see the warning if they do search for a review before they purchase (as anyone should).
Not everyone searches for a review though and they end up feeling disappointed with the program they just purchased. Or they feel ripped off.
They end up searching for the product either to see feedback from others or to figure out how they could get their money back.
This search usually leads to my website where they’ll find a detailed review on the program that’s causing them so much trouble.
Searcher lands on my website because I reviewed a bad program and for some reason they immediately think that I sold them the program and proceeds to send me an email with the refund request.
This has been a source of frustration for me because I’ve been threatened, harassed and cussed out just because someone wanted a refund for a product that I didn’t sell them.
I usually reply to say that I don’t own, sell or promote the product they bought, that I’m only an independent website owner who writes reviews on programs like the one they bought and I try to give them info on how to get in contact with the product owner to get their refund.
Anyway, I hope to save having to constantly be answering these types of emails by putting up this page.
The key thing you have to understand here is that I write reviews. I didn’t sell you the product that you’re now looking for a refund for.
Now that you know I’m not the one who you should be talking to about a refund, I’m going to try to help you to get that refund.
Before you go asking for a refund though, there are a few things you need to know so you don’t end up wasting your own time.
(1) Where did you buy the program
Usually, there’s only one place where you’d be able to get the program you bought. This website can be the same as the name of the product or it could be under a different name.
If you forgot, you can try typing the name of the product into your browser address bar (not the search bar) and see what comes up. This is providing you haven’t deleted the info (such as cookies) while cleaning your computers.
You could also try searching in your email to see if you have any correspondence with the product website. Most times if you do, you’ll find a link to the product.
If you still can’t find anything check…
(2) The receipt for the purchase
Whenever you buy something online, you will usually get a receipt emailed to you almost immediately.
Check to see if you have a receipt and it should contain details about how you can ask for a refund and also where you should submit your request.
From your receipt you will need to know the order number and when you made the purchase. If you can’t find the receipt, your credit card statement should have the date when you made the purchase. Your Paypal account will show some details too.
(3) Know the refund policy
Different websites have different refund policies. Some can be 1 week, 30 days or 60 days. Some websites don’t issue refunds.
Know the refund policy for your purchase and you’ll know whether or not to proceed with a refund request. As long as you’ve found the website or receipt for the product, either one should have this information as well as contact email or contact page where you should make the request.
Your next step is to submit your request and wait. The refund request should be responded to within a reasonable timeframe (24 hours – 48 hours).
If you don’t get a reply, you could try sending it again or contact your credit card company / bank to try to have them reverse the charges and stop any future billing.
Hopefully it wouldn’t have to reach to that stage and after submitting your request, the product owner complies with his refund policy and gives you your money back.
