Last year, Bluehost offered up to 60% off on hosting, domains and other products.
Not as good as a couple of years ago when they offered a deal on Cyber Monday for under $2.00 per month but still a good deal nevertheless.
This year, they’re offering pretty much the same deals on hosting products, domains and privacy tools.
Although I want you to know about the deal since you’re looking for it, I also want you to know that I’m not recommending that you even take this Bluehost deal simply because I’m not a fan of them.
I’ll tell you more below but first the details of the Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal.

Why I Won’t Recommend Bluehost
As I’ve said before, I’m not a fan of Bluehost and I won’t actually recommend that you take this Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal because there are much better web hosts available who also have a Cyber Weekend deal going on right now.
There are two reasons why I won’t recommend Bluehost.
First, I used to host my websites with Bluehost and over the years I’ve experienced lots of downtime but the last straw was an incident that happened last year with this very website that you’re reading.
After building up a considerable amount of activity on this website including over 1300 comments, Bluehost took down my websites and told me I was being spammed. They asked me to delete a database containing the spam comments but it turns out that I was unknowingly deleting the comments on this website.
You can read about my experience with Bluehost and the incident here.
The second reason is that they were acquired by a company called EIG.
EIG has been silently acquiring web hosting companies over the years and now own a lot of popular companies like Hostgator and Bluehost. If you’re fed up of one host and end up jumping to another, you’re still paying EIG. Many hosts have turned to crap after being acquired by EIG.
It is best to host your websites with a non-EIG owned web host.
Even though WordPress has given Bluehost the ultimate recommendation as the best WordPress web host, there are many, many independent reviews, comments on forums and blogs that indicate that Bluehost is far from perfect.
My own experience is enough for me not to recommend them.
Best Bluehost Alternative
I moved my websites to Wealthy Affiliate but I realize that this might not be the ideal web host because they’re an affiliate marketing training company that includes web hosting. You might just be looking for a web host.
So I searched for another web host. I did some extensive research and compared web host after web host, looked at comments on blogs and forums, ratings from a handful of websites that I trusted with this kind of information and one web host seem to come up all the time – Siteground.
After doing research on SiteGround itself, I concluded that if I was going to get web hosting from a company outside of Wealthy Affiliate, it would be them.
SiteGround is my recommendation for best Bluehost alternative and they also have a Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal going on. You can read more about SiteGround’s Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal here.
Final Thoughts on Bluehost Black Friday Sale
Bluehost’s Cyber Weekend sale may sound awesome and you can get the details here. However, being an EIG-owned company and a web host that I’ve had a bad experience with in the past, I cannot recommend them.
