Over the past few years, video has become the most engaging content format online and also the most consumed.
If you’re not doing video marketing, then you should definitely get started by using the most popular video social network online – YouTube.
YouTube videos can drive sales and commissions if you use it well. It’s not as simple though, as signing up for an account and uploading videos.
To learn YouTube video marketing, you could get a course which lays out the process in a structured manner but you can also learn how to master YouTube by following people who have proven themselves in this field.
To help you with that, I went through a bunch of YouTube channels and found some of the best ones where you can learn everything you need to know about starting and growing a YouTube channel successfully.
Here they are – 7 incredible YouTube channels from 7 awesome YouTubers who will teach you their best strategies.
1. Think Media
Think Media Tv is ran by a guy named Sean Cannell and is a very popular brand on YouTube.
The channel has over 650,000 subscribers and some videos have millions of views.
Sean Cannell also has a lifestyle channel with over 85,000 subscribers where he does product reviews and vlogs as well as another channel featuring his video productions with nearly 4000 subscribers. Another channel on this list, Video Influencers, is a collaboration with Benji Travis, another popular YouTuber.
So you can see that Sean is someone who can definitely teach you a thing or two about building a brand on YouTube.
Think Media TV has videos on starting and growing a YouTube channel as well as related information such as reviews for equipment you might need for doing YouTube videos.
As a subscriber, you can learn things like:
- How to punch FEAR in the face and start on YouTube (above)

- Best camera and equipment for YouTube beginners

- How to rank videos on YouTube fast
2. Video Creators TV
The tag line for Video Creators TV is “Master YouTube. Spread your message.” This is exactly what Tim Schmoyer will help you achieve when you subscribe to his channel.
And he’s very much the person you want teaching you this.
His Video Creators channel has amassed 427,000 subscribers while his other channel, Schmovies has over 104,000 subscribers.
I found the Video Creators channel while researching a trending YouTube topic and his video was the first result returned in Google’s search results so the guy obviously knows what he’s doing.
One thing I immediately noticed when I went to his channel is that he chose to organize his videos into playlists, which lets you see the different topics he posts about. This works kind of like categories on a website.
His playlists include these topics:
- Recent YouTube “How-To” trainings
- Pro tips for growing your channel’s views and subscribers
- Video SEO tips for ranking videos in search results
- How to make money on YouTube with brand deals
- In-depth and detailed YouTube trainings
Some examples of what you will learn as a subscriber to Tim’s channel are:
- The best way to rank videos #1 in search (above)
- 29 ideas for sparking growth on your YouTube channel
- Thumbnails that get 1 million YouTube subscribers
- The 3 questions you must answer for viewers before they subscribe

3. Video Influencers
Next up is a channel called Video Influencers which is a collaboration between Sean Cannell from Think Media and another popular YouTuber, Benji Travis.
I’ve already told you why Sean Cannell is someone you want to listen to. Benji Travis has also proven himself as well.
Benji’s personal channel has over 361,000 subscribers and another one he has with his wife Judy has 1.6 million subscribers.
The channel art for Video Influencers feature a product called YouTube Secrets which is a course created by Sean and Benji that teaches you their YouTube strategies for growing your following and making money as a video influencer.
While you can check out the course, the videos on this channel can teach you a lot and include interviews with other successful YouTubers and marketers.
Videos you can learn a lot from include:
- How to come up with a YouTube name (above)

He also has another channel called AllOurQuestions where he answers common questions and that has 11,000+ subscribers.
Best way to start my morning, thank you for continuously being so motivating!
– Steno hood (YouTube user)
This quote from a commenter echoed my thoughts as I watched one of Nick’s videos.
As a subscriber, you’ll be motivated to take continuous action with your own YouTube channel and learn a lot of stuff in different categories like YouTube tips for beginners, Using YouTube on your phone and different equipment and tools you need.
Here’s a preview of some of what’s available on Nick’s channel.

5. Channel Notes
Although Channel Notes has just over 61,500 subscribers, Muchelle B has proven that she has what it takes to teach you how to YouTube.
She has another channel that focuses on self-improvement which has 242,000 subscribers.
I love the minimalist design of Channel Notes and Muchelle introduces herself and her intentions with a channel trailer followed by playlists of the video topics you’ll consume.
Practical advice, tips and a monthly review that can help you when evaluating your own channel’s performance are some of the helpful videos you’ll learn from.
Some videos include:
- 9 things to do before starting a YouTube channel (above)
- 20 YouTube channel / niche ideas
- How to make a YouTube banner
- 30 first video ideas
- 5 things you need to do as a new YouTuber
That last one I included because it’s a collaboration video with someone else who is also on this list.
6. Brian G Johnson TV
Brian G Johnson is a great internet marketer and I first knew him as the author of a popular internet marketing guide released around the start of the decade called Halloween Super Affiliate.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that he had a successful YouTube channel because that meant that I could follow him again.
His channel has over 48,000 subscribers and he also collaborates with other popular YouTubers.
Of all the channels I’ve mentioned on this list, I think I like his thumbnail designs the best. They’re very catchy.
To help you “stake your claim and amplify your message on YouTube”, you’ll find videos on his channel like:
- Why most YouTubers fail – YouTube channel help (above)
- How to get 100 subscribers by commenting

7. Tips With Trena
Trena Little doesn’t have as many subscribers as some of the other users on this list.
However, with just over 6,500 subscribers, she knows enough to teach you how to use YouTube.
Trena does everything right on her channel and has over 300 videos of content for you to learn from.
My favorite thing about this channel though is that you can know exactly when to expect new videos. She publishes a new one every Monday and Wednesday.
Trena’s channel is a great example of how you should be doing YouTube even when you’re now getting started. Like most others on the list, she also has another channel where you can get to know here on a more personal level.
Tips With Trena isn’t just about YouTube. You can learn about online business from her videos which makes this channel more relevant for affiliate marketers like us.
Some of the things you’ll learn from Trena when you subscribe include:
- 5 YouTube video ideas for your business (above)
- 13 YouTube mistakes you must avoid
- When should you post YouTube videos?
- Build your email list with YouTube videos
- 5 video ideas without showing your face
There is seriously no better way to learn about making money on YouTube than to learn from people who have proven that they know how to do YouTube.
The seven channels in this list is a great start and you now have hundreds or even thousands of videos to check out that will teach you how to get started and how to grow a successful channel.
If you know of any other channels that are great for learning about YouTube marketing, please let me know in the comments.
In the mean time, tell me which of these you already know about or which do you look forward to learning from.
These recommendations are great–Youtube is something I’m trying to really figure out. I have a goal of one video a week right now, but to be honest I’ve never been much of a Youtube person so I’ve no idea how to build a brand. I’m excited to look into these resources you give and hopefully get myself going on a better path.
Holly, no matter what’s holding you back from getting started on YouTube, I found that there’s a video for that somewhere among these 7 channels. Definitely check them out.
Hi There,
I really like your post.
I am a new blogger and currently going through the training at WA. I have always been nervous about creating videos, however I want to get rid of that fear. have also read in several places that websites or blogs with video posts tend to get indexed & also convert a lot faster.
As I proceed through my training, I will make sure to check out all of the resources you have on your website.
I also read your post about CB Cash Code. Thank you for posting that review because it helped answer several of my questions.
I wish you all the best 🙂
Vik
You read right Vik. Video converts very well on websites. Most of the strategies taught here though is about maintaining a YouTube channel and creating engaging videos that make sales on YouTube.
Thanks for reading my other posts and I’m glad you learned something from my content.
I wish I found this website sooner. I have my own Youtube Channel and I really didn’t know where to start at. But after reading this article with lots of good suggestions I have chosen to go with Think Media and so far it is awesome. Thank you so much for this article.
You’re welcome Sujandar. Think Media is great. There’s nothing stopping you from trying any of the others as well but you chose a good one. Good luck with your YouTube channel.
Thanks for a great resource! It’s so easy to get lost and waste so much time watching YouTube videos especially if they’re not really useful but you have to watch a while before you figure that out. Your list will save me so much time so I can focus on learning from people who know what they’re doing and have great content.
Yep. That was the idea. To give you sort of a shortcut to figuring things out with YouTube. Glad it helps.
Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve been thinking about getting into YouTube and this seems to be a good way to start. I think I’ll start with Channel Notes and what to do before you start a YouTube channel. And then probably move on to the 30 first YouTube ideas. And then I’ll go and look at the rest of the videos.
You’ve definitely given me a lot to view and discover and learn.
Sounds like you have a plan Petra. Channel Notes is a good choice and I know that you’ll learn a lot. Good luck.
Hi,
indeed there are successful youtubers who share and teach how to use Youtube. The thing is that I have never been very much in Youtube, except when listening to music I use Youtube a lot.
And I have wondered already if Youtube would be a great way to grow my website. I know it would, but I am not a movie person.
Thanks for outlining these options to learn more about it. I will have to check Youtube out as a new channel to grow traffic to my site.
Thanks,
Oscar
YouTube, just like any other social network can definitely help grow your website. You can even use it by itself to get commissions by doing reviews and stuff.
Something you should really look into. Just pick one of these channels and check out the content.
Thank you for this article. I’ve been thinking to start a YouTube channel of which I can earn online. This post helps me from searching far and wide just to help me start my endeavor. By the way, of all the the 7 people you recommend here, who do you think you like most? I mean, probably, you have someone or three people that you’ve been following for so long.
Also, how is your situation as you started your own YouTube Channel. I’m just assuming here that you’re into it since you posted this. Sorry, haven’t read your profile yet. Just a question from a curious person who wished to learn YouTube marketing.
Those are great questions so let me answer them.
Q1. Who do I like most of the 7?
A1. To be honest, I think all of them are different and I like that but I’ll have to say I like Tips with Trena the most because she has more of a marketer type background and content aimed at marketers as well instead of just the regular YouTuber situation type videos. I can relate to her content more. I also like Sean’s style too (Think Media & Video Influencers).
Q2. Have I started my own YouTube channel?
A2. I actually have a YouTube channel with over 3000 subscribers but that was all by accident. I started uploading music (not my own) on a channel maybe about 10 years ago and I just got subs from people who like the music.
In terms of a channel for my business though, I do have a channel but with only 1 video and that channel isn’t done right at all. The reason I ended up writing this article was out of the need to create something that I myself could reference and I thought it would be helpful to others as well.
Looking into this actually helped me identify a couple of things that were holding me back and I’ve seen the solutions through videos listed in a couple of these channels. I’ve already started checking out most of the videos by Trena and some videos from a couple of the others. I plan to really get set up the right way very, very soon.
Hey Jay,

Since l haven’t started on video marketing but it will be soon, and l have bookmarked your article for reference later.
Once again, thank you for sharing the best YouTube Training channel for us.
Best Regards.
Nax
No problem Nax. Glad you found this useful.
Tim Schmoyer at Video Creators is by far one of my favorites. He has taught me many things about how to drive a few incremental subscriptions on my own slowly growing channel!
One other person I really recommend checking out is Brian Dean from backlinko. He does a lot of tips on SEO in general, but also specifically on SEO for YouTube. You can have the greatest video in the world, but if it never surfaces to the top of the results it isn’t much help. You can find him super easily on YouTube by just punching in “brian dean” or “backlinko.”
Awesome Craig. Tim seems like such a great teacher.
Thanks for your recommendation on Brian Dean. I’ve read the backlinko blog of course but haven’t seen his YouTube channel. I’ll check it out.
Thanks for including me in your list!
You’re welcome Nick. Awesome channel and content.
