I wasn’t going to post a review of Kindle Sniper but after noticing some similarities with another product I posted about last week, I just had to warn readers about this one.
Kindle Sniper is a brand new “system” claiming that you can make up to $1000 per day doing little to nothing at all by using Amazon to write and publish ebooks.
The promotional video for the product has testimonials of people claiming that they went from struggling to making huge sums of money using the Kindle Sniper system so I’m sure you’re wondering if this is all true.
After getting an email from Matthew Neer, whose Viral Cash App product I reviewed some weeks ago, I decided that I was going to write a review about this because everyone on that list is going to want to check out Kindle Sniper.
What Is Kindle Sniper All About?
Name: Kindle Sniper
Creator: “Martin Price”
Years Online: Since June 2018
Verdict: Don’t waste your time. Lots of red flags and outright lies to sell a PDF ebook with basic information about publishing on Amazon Kindle. There are much better products that will teach you how to do Kindle publishing the right way.
In the video for Kindle Sniper, Martin Price claims that he developed and tested this system people could use to make money publishing ebooks on Amazon Kindle Publishing.
He claims that he tested the system with 20 persons and they all made no less than an average of $1000 per day with his system.
He wants you to believe that you will get the same results if you use his system and that you can achieve these results by doing little to no work at all. You can do this without writing a word he says.
After paying $37 (or $27 if you try to exit the page and take the discount), you’ll find that the main product is just a PDF ebook with some basic information about Kindle Publishing.
The words Price used, “developed a system”, certainly gave me the wrong expectations as I was looking for step by step videos about a unique method that he used to achieve and help others achieve these kinds of earnings. However, the info within the PDF is nothing special and is just a basic outline of what you can do with Kindle Publishing.
What Is Wrong Here?
When I first viewed the Kindle Sniper website, I immediately knew that this wasn’t going to turn out well because the website had a familiar design.
You can compare it with that of the AZ Code which I reviewed not too long ago.
What I believe is that these two websites were probably created by the same person as the similarities don’t just end with the website design.
Here’s a breakdown of why I believe this is the case:
- Same design (video with forms underneath and logo at the bottom)
- Same price point
- Offers the same discount with the discount page having the same design
- Both products deal with making money with Amazon
- Same quality of ebooks inside download area
- Has all the same red flags (fake testimonials, lies etc)
The way both products were put together, it seems that the creators of these products do not have any true experience with these earning methods but just wants to make a quick buck selling these products.
It’s very easy to find and purchase products that include ebooks that you can resell as your own product and this seems to be what is going on with both AZ Code and Kindle Sniper.
All of this is just speculation however based on my observation and knowledge of how selling digital products work.
But the red flags do not stop here.
Besides the quality of the product, there are just a lot of dishonest things going on in the promo video.
Above is a picture of just one of the persons who claimed they are currently making thousands of dollars doing not much thanks to Kindle Sniper.
Turns out, she’s never made a dime due to taking the Kindle Sniper training because she was paid to say all these nice things about the product. You can find her on Fiverr, an online marketplace where you can hire people to do small tasks for you for as little as $5.
I found a couple of the other testimonials also on Fiverr and I’m sure if I had the time, I could find them all.
Using Fiverr gigs for testimonials is a tactic that scammers often use in their promotional videos so this is a definite red flag. If there were indeed 20 persons who made thousands of dollars with your product, why wouldn’t you just have them give testimonials instead?
Well, it seems that too is a lie. And so are the results of his trial.
It seems that Price is very good at making up numbers for students that never existed. So 20 people read a generic ebook with very basic information and went on to make over 2 million dollars combined in just 3 months?
One last thing. Martin Price is not a real person and neither is the sob story he gives in the video. This is something I’m able to tell from experience reviewing products over a 10 year period.
To sum up everything (because I can’t keep up with the lies), here is a list of things you should know if you’re thinking of getting Kindle Sniper.
- Martin Price is fake
- Testimonials are fake
- Trial results are fake
- Kindle Sniper is just a PDF with some basic info (nothing groundbreaking)
Everything you see in the video for Kindle Sniper is just unethical marketing tactics.
The Reality of Kindle Publishing
Kindle Publishing is definitely the easiest way to write a book and get it published. That’s the reason why it is so popular among independent writers and ordinary folks.
You can make money with Amazon Kindle Publishing but it’s not something that is new and emerging. People have been writing and publishing Kindle books for as long as the Kindle has been around (since 2007).
It is also true that you can publish Kindle books without writing a word by outsourcing the writing to freelancers but this just gives the process extra steps that need more care and management.
While you will make passive income after the publishing is done, there is still a bit of work that you’ll have to do before your book is published and if you’re outsourcing the writing, you’ll have to invest some money.
Either way you do it, you’d still need to invest in stuff like cover design and formatting your ebook. It all takes some work and money before you can get your book on Kindle.
As for the earnings part, it is possible to make the type of money being talked about in the video but it is not typical.
People will find your ebook on Amazon organically and you will get some sales but unless you’re a big name writer or have done some marketing yourself, making thousands of dollars per day is probably not going to be the norm.
Can You Make Money With Kindle Sniper Training?
If you don’t already know anything about Kindle Publishing, and you’re not an author or writer, then I’m going to say that you will hit more than a few bumps trying to follow this basic outline provided by Kindle Sniper.
Honestly, the Kindle Sniper system isn’t the training that you want to follow as it’s just a brief overview of what is involved with publishing on Amazon Kindle.
Even if you do manage to figure things out, you are most definitely not going to make thousands and thousands of dollars per week with this training alone.
You’ll have more questions than answers when you’re finished with this training and there is no support system provided through Kindle Sniper.
Who are you going to ask questions when you get stuck and can’t figure out something?
Kindle Sniper in my opinion does not meet the expectations of what they’re promising in the promotional video and you’re more likely to fail with Kindle Publishing if you do decide to follow the training.
Alternatives to Kindle Sniper
If you like the appeal of publishing your own books on Kindle, there are much better options for training than Kindle Sniper.
You can certainly research the topic and figure things out on your own but if you want to have structured guidance then you might want to try a Kindle Publishing course.
I’ve checked out a few and found that one of the best courses around is actually a free course called The A to Z of Self Publishing. I’ll say it again – this course is free and if you look at the Class Curriculum, it is packed with training that puts the already shameful Kindle Sniper to shame.
And the great part of this course is that it’s all video training. Each module is broken down into short videos and gives you the everything from the basics to more advanced training like advertising your book.
Other options for learning Kindle Publishing include paid video courses that come with a hefty price tag ($497 – $597):
- Self Publishing 101 by Mark Dawson
- Authority Pub Academy by Steve Scott & Barrie Davenport
- Your First 10K Readers by Nick Stephenson
Self Publishing 101 was not open to new students when I checked and Your First 10K Readers is not suitable for beginners. I’ve followed Steve Scott for a while and even read some of his Kindle books so I know that he does indeed have experience and success publishing books on Kindle.
These courses may be a bit pricey but they do have a lot of good video training as well as Facebook groups for support and networking and other features.
Then there are other less pricey and more affordable options such as Udemy courses that teach Kindle publishing.
How to Become a Bestselling Author on Amazon Kindle by Tom Corson-Knowles is a best-selling course that holds a 4.4/5 rating from over 1100 votes and has been taken by almost 39000 students.
So you can choose from $597 courses to much more affordable Udemy courses and even a free course, all of which will give you better results than Kindle Sniper.
If Publishing Kindle Books Isn’t for You
Martin Price makes self-publishing on Amazon Kindle sound easier than it actually is. And you may have been excited until you realized that Kindle Sniper isn’t going to help you.
You may still be excited and probably chose an alternative above. But if you’re not and you’re thinking that you don’t want to publish Kindle books, then you may be interested in affiliate marketing – the way I make money online.
If this is you then an easy way for you to get training doing this awesome business is this site which I’m a member of.
The site is free to join and start your first course and then you have the option to get more value by becoming a premium member.
Affiliate marketing is a great alternative to Kindle Publishing and there are even members who do both because they love writing.
If you’re disappointed with Kindle Sniper and want to make money online, then try making money with affiliate marketing and join this website for some step by step, structured training and support.
